Delhi Couture Week 2013 – Day 1

The fashion madness continues with Delhi Couture Week by FDCI! Anju Modi and my favorite Sabyaschi Mukherjee kicked started couture week!

Anju Modi’s collection was beautiful and unique. She mixed menswear silhouettes with lehengas. There was lots of volume, layers, drapes, and beautiful embroidery. The colors went from reds to nudes to navy. It seems has nude is the new red or the new color for wedding outfits.

ImageSabyaschi Mukherjee, one of my favorite designer never fails me! His collection was pure vintage. My first thought was, “I don’t think I’ve seen anything more gorgeous than this!” He had it all, the embroidery, quilted florals, and shimmer! I also loved the way he presented and styled his collection. The mang tikka (worn on the forehead) was definitely a statement jewelry piece. I can assure you the tikka will be a must have accessory this season. Overall a beautiful collection, which I loved!
